LAUNCHING OF FREE ONLINE EDUCATION

USM, 2nd March 2008-  The students of GLOBALIZATION, CYBER CULTURE AND FUTURE STUDIES of University Sains Malaysia have partnered with SEKOLAH PENGAJIAN TINGGI EKONOMI , SURABAYA, INDONESIA in creating a website that enables school students as well as university students to gain access to several trial examination papers as part of their revision techniques for exams.

This website, www.freewebs.com/sukses4u  is done with the main aim of creating a cyber community that enables members to share trial examination papers with one another. This cybercommunity uses the online education method whereby both parties discuss and share their questions to benefit each other as well as to maintain a steady stream of communication through the internet.
The launching of the website will be done by the Dean of the School of Social Sciences, .............................................. and witnessed by the Project Advisor, Dr Reevany Bustami, project members as well as sponsors and students involved.

Highlighting the hopes of this project, Saiful the project director says ‘’We aim to encourage a community where students can realise that there are many more ways in which a cybercommunity can function, not just socially but academically as well. Through this website, we hope that the students can work together as an actual community in helping each other in achieving success in their exams through the sharing of information on the website.’’

Globalization, Cyber Culture and Future Studies is a course under the School of Social Sciences for students majoring in Antropology and Sociology. In pioneering the formation of this website, the students will continue to sustain its existence by passing over the management of this website to the next batch of students.
